The fifth season of The Flash just recently began production, and it looks like one of the series’ stars is already celebrating.

Danielle Panabaker, who plays Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost on the hit The CW series, recently shared a photo from the show’s set.

The Thinker is gone! What Next?!

We witness the death of Clifford DeVoe/The Thinker (Neil Sandilands) to the return of Ralph Dibny/Elongated Man (Hartley Sawyer). For Caitlin, a pretty interesting secret came to light, as she learned that she had gotten her metahuman powers long before the particle accelerator explosion, something that could change the nature of the Arrowverse as we know it.

Now we have Nora Allen (Jessica Parker Kennedy), Barry and Iris’ speedster daughter from the future.

“We always like to introduce characters and sort of highlight areas that come from the comics but we don’t want to be beholden exactly to them so we can change the stories as we see fit and tell it for a television show.” executive producer Todd Helbing told ComicBook.com after the Season 4 finale. “With [Nora], it’s the time that she comes from and what she did.

She makes this sort of big mistake at the end of the episode. Everyone is concerned of what she did. We all remember Flashpoint. Barry learned his lessons from time traveling. It’s going to be interesting to see Barry Allen help his daughter on this one.

The fifth season of The Flash will debut on Tuesday, October 9th, at 8/7c on The CW.

After making his debut on the scarlet speedster’s second season of the hit CW series as Wally West, fans have been counting the days leading down to actor Keiynan Lonsdale dawning his own Flash costume. Today, CW and DC Entertainment have unveiled a first look at the suited and booted Lonsdale as Kid Flash! The images can be viewed below.

Recently, it was learned that The Flash third season will be titled “Flashpoint,” based (in the plot’s inciting incident at least) on the staple DC Comics event sharing the same name. Flashpoint served as the penultimate comic run before DC’s New 52 launch back in 2011. The second season of The Flash shares common ground with the source material, in that it left us with a bereft Barry going back in time to do what he couldn’t before: save his mother from dying at the hands of The Reverse Flash.

The Flashpoint comic presented a dark, world-bending tale about the consequences of Allen’s choice, with fundamental changes to the DCU including Captain Cold being the hero of Central City, the Justice League not existing, Wonder Woman’s Amazonians and Aquaman’s Atlanteans being engaged in all out war, Bruce Wayne being the one who died in the alley and not his parents inspiring his father to become Batman (and his mother The Joker), and Superman being kept in an underground base for years after being found by the military; among others.

It is currently unknown which elements of the comic will be used in the much altered live-action series, but it can be expected that The Flash will follow a similar arc.

Martin as Detective Joe West. Season 2 of the series also introduced Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West and the Earth-2 version of The Flash as played by John Wesley Shipp (who also played Barry’s father, Henry Allen).

Grahame-Smith’s screenwriting credentials consist of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, as well as previous drafts of Beetlejuice 2. The DC Cinematic Universe’s take on the scarlet speedster was supposed to Grahame-Smith’s directorial debut, which boasts a treatment written by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, known for their directing The LEGO Movie.

Ezra Miller (The Perks of Being a Wallflower, We Need to Talk About Kevin) will play the lead role of Barry Allen/The Flash in the DCU’s film iteration. Previously, Miller made his debut as Allen in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

“I’d like the character to have many dimensions,” said Miller about his character in the film. “But really, I’d like him to have the usual dimensions we know and love, and then some extra ones that are part of the amazing consideration of this superhero. I hope to realize him as a person, and I think what’s most exciting for me in superhero mythologies is when we feel the humanity of someone who is heroic — or the heroism of someone who is a flawed, deeply human person.”

 “Kara gains a new ally when the lightning-fast superhero The Flash (Grant Gustin) suddenly appears from an alternate universe and helps Kara battle Siobhan, aka Silver Banshee, and Livewire in exchange for her help in finding a way to return him home.”
Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as Kara Zor-El aka the titular main character. Speculation on whether or not the two superheroes would meet — in the same vane as Flash and Arrow — has been going on among fans since as early as the production days for Supergirl. The ‘Flarrow’ fandom (this writer included) are still left wondering as to the ‘how’ of such a meeting, what with the existence of Superman being well known in the world of Supergirl and the altogether absence (thus far) of the last son of Krypton, or any other alien races in The Flash or Arrow.

‘Worlds’ may be the key word in this pairing of speedster and kyrptonian, what with last night’s Flash episode, “Fast Lane”, ending with Barry Allen announcing that he and his friends at S.T.A.R Labs would soon venture into Earth-2, a parallel planet from which all manner of strangeness has been spilling over into Allen’s neighborhood. The introduction of the multiverse in the Arrow spin-off’s second season certainly makes Team Flash crossing paths with Supergirl and exploring an alternate timeline in which the Man of Steel exists a possibility.
