Should Infinity War even count as a summer movie since Disney bumped its release from May 4th to April 27th? In the past, a film released on the last weekend in April was a spring release, but Hollywood continues to blur the lines between actual seasons and “movie” seasons.

If we were being strict about the actual definition of “summer” then only movies released between June 21 and September 22, 2018, would count as summer movies. But Hollywood doesn’t do that. Here at Geekcaster, we decided to include Infinity War … simply because we can.

After Infinity War, Disney’s three other releases in the Top 10 include Incredibles 2 ($597.7 million), Solo: A Star Wars Story ($213.6 million), and Ant-Man and the Wasp ($212 million). Some people may say Solo didn’t live up to the hype, but I thought it was okay.

The Avengers and Ant-Man and the Wasp weren’t the only Marvel superheroes to dominate the box office this summer. Fox’s Deadpool 2 came in fourth place with $318.4 million. Deadpool right now is probably saying “In your face Thanos!”

After Disney, Universal took two spots on the summer box office’s Top 10, with Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom ($413.2 million) and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again ($116.2 million). Paramount (Mission: Impossible – Fallout), Sony (Hotel Transylvania 3), and Warner Bros. (Ocean’s 8) each scored a film in the Top 10.

Wisecracking mercenary Deadpool meets Russell, an angry teenage mutant who lives at an orphanage. When Russell becomes the target of Cable — a genetically enhanced soldier from the future — Deadpool realizes that he’ll need some help saving the boy from such a superior enemy. He soon joins forces with Bedlam, Shatterstar, Domino and other powerful mutants to protect young Russell from Cable and his advanced weaponry.

Connecticon is in full swing! The Connecticut Convention Center is currently flooded with otakus from every corner of the geekdom. From gamers to anime enthusiasts, there’s something for everyone. There’s even a Kid Zone where you can spare your children of the embarrassment of watching their parents dork out over some dudes spot on Star Trek cosplay.

I also had the pleasure of sitting in on a couple press conferences with voice actor Courtenay Taylor as well as actor/stuntman Martin Klebba. I will be writing separate articles about those meetings. But for now I will let you know that they are incredible people with incredible stories.

This Sunday is the last day of Connecticon. So I highly recommend hauling a** over here and geek out with the rest of us!

The original web manga series began publication in early 2009 by an author who uses the pseudonym One. After becoming a viral sensation in June of 2012, a digital remake of the series was released by Shueisha’s Young Jump Web Comics which was illustrated by Yusuke Murata. An anime adaptation series soon followed in 2015 that was produced by Madhouse. The anime was released in Japan between October and December of that year. The dubbed version was later released in the US during the summer of 2016.

Well, it’s officially March which signifies the unofficial beginning of Spring! That means convention season is upon us.

From coast to coast, and country to country, geeks and nerds alike are gearing up for anime events that will make or break their favorite series. From early Spring to late Summer, cons and expos are a dime a dozen. Conventions are the ideal place to find information that you need on current as well as up and coming anime. Questions such as, “will there be a season 2,” “will the movie adaptation live up to the anime or manga,” and “which voice actors will lend their talents to the dub,” may be answered.

These conventions are also incredible platforms for up and coming manga writers as well as animators. So, if you believe that you have an incredible idea to share, attending a convention or expo is the way to go. Anime expositions as well as conventions allow creators of every experience level to showcase their talents to the public.

An added bonus to attending one of these geek infested soirées is that you may make new friends and form lasting relationships while fighting through the (usually large) crowds.  So, if you’re looking for a convention near you to attend, look no further! I have oily skin, so when I’m not making my own home remedies for my skin I first wash my face with Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash. Next, I exfoliate with ST Ives Green Tea Scrub (blackhead clearing or blemish control). Then I moisturize with African Shea butter and apply Ambi Fade Cream to my dark spots.

Natural Approach to Skin Care
A skincare regimen especially for oily or acne-prone skin is to wash with Nubian Heritage Lemongrass and Tea Tree Bar Soap, exfoliate the face and body with (brown sugar, honey, olive oil), apply blemish control mask (lemon, honey), and then moisturize with African Shea butter.
