Now that I am here in America working I have noticed a lot of frustrations and upset energy regarding Trumps election. I find this strange because it seems that most would agree that we collectively as a whole would prefer to see a different candidate in office, but some how he is there so the majority of people have voted him there. DECEPTION is hard to recognize at times. So I hope this poem will open up some inner reflection of all people to see that it’s not just about race, it’s about humanity. However if we cannot first see and understand the basics of race separation, how will we ever have the wisdom and courage to see the other issues as well. Truth may be uncomfortable but we have to learn and accept to be uncomfortable first as we are so that we all can work together and be comfortable with ourselves as we are ….. together here on this living planet. Happy new year to all.

I call this don’t call me racist.

Turn on the tv
Don’t tell me I’m racist
I’ve been so many places
Travelled the world a little
I’ve always contemplated
What it means to be racists
So many faces on billboards
Movies series and TV
But I can barely see a reflection of me
Nor my friends
Sri Lankan’s, Indians, Asians
Anyone with fair to deep dark melanin skin
Lancôme, Burberry, Gucci Prada;
Van goh, Picasso, Da Vinci
All stolen from centuries of African history
Only white to pale
Frail skeletons with long straight
Blonde black or red hair
On the news broadcasts and documentaries on every important human discovery
Don’t tell me I’m racist when I just
Want to uplift my people
Show them that we are deeper
Than this color of skin
People all over the world
Ordering man made bleach
To become socially accepted Modern day slavery
Self hate
Trying to escape the gift
From JAH the creator
Deep dark chocolate
SUDAN black is the true touch of love
Made in the image of the creator itself
Melanin
It is everything
From all the green unto all of the unseen galaxies
Full of carbon
The creator of black holes
The birth of light
Not many know the truth
Of the untold story

Because I want to see multiracial
Faces in every place my eyes turn
So quick to set me up to burn in your environment
Because spiritually you can’t win over
The separation of your own unconsciousness

What happens in queens Bronx and Brooklyn daily
Brown skins don’t get the same opportunity
A life full of maybes;
Maybe I’ll graduate but daddy got me covered on our estate
Maybe I’ll take over the family business
Right after I finish my year of discovering
Living traveling
Around the world
Their parents Amex Gold credit cards
No need to take financial control
This life has us barred to thinking
We are different
Based on where we are sent to college
To what type of degree
From Creed sexuality and worries
Don’t tell me I’m racist
Because Im preaching equality for the world

Casting directors
Agents
Fashion designers
Stylists
Photographers
Directors
Screen writers
And authors
There is more than just you!
Our futures the youth
Indigo babies
Reawakening daily
Unto the blasphemies
Of today’s egocentricities
Please don’t tell me I’m racist.
Until you are willing to trade places live a thousand lives with our faces remember how it is and come back to now and start to forgive yourselves and finally to completely understanding that YES black lives matter.
