Launched in the winter of 2015, Comics Unlimited is an on-line full color magazine about comic books, comic art, and comic creators from all over the world. It covers various genres of comic books including spy, war, and science fiction and various elements of the comic book industry like Cos Play. There are articles on such properties as Dr. Who’s Daleks, Captain Scarlet, EC Comics, DNA Agents, Guardians of the Galaxy, Infinity Inc., Marvel Team Up, Modesty Blaise, Prince Namor, and many, many more subject matters including the most in depth look at The Defenders ever run in a magazine! There are lengthy interviews with writers, artists, and even editors of the likes of fan favorite creators Howard Chaykin, Romero, Joe Staton, Pat Mills, Guy Dorian Sr., and Marvel Comics’ and WildStorm Production’s editor Mike Rockwitz. There’s even a special issue devoted entirely to the genius of Jack “the King” Kirby.

Each issue is masterfully laid out with illustrations perfectly balancing the articles on every page. Interesting features of the magazine include its recurring mascot HATCH (a simple unassuming character trying to peacefully travel through the void of space on his asteroid) and that the cover of Comics Unlimited is often illustrated by a featured talent interviewed in the magazine. Issue #1 for instance has the cover illustrated and inked by the multi Harvey Award winning artist Joe Staton in a detective noir style of Frank Miller.

The bi-monthly digital magazine is over 80 pages long starting with issue #1. There is a 34 page issue #0 of the on-line magazine that is free for your viewing pleasure. Eclecticka Returns for Season 3 with Mike “The Legend” Rockwitz

Mike Rockwitz started out as an intern at Marvel Comics in 1985 and within 5 years he moved up to editor. For over a decade he wrote, colored, and edited titles for some of Marvel Comics‘ iconic characters and best selling properties. Included among those titles: Captain America, Dr. Strange, The Mighty Thor, The Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer, Namor, Nick Fury, Power Pack, and all of the Conan titles. He also edited Gen-13, Wildcats, Grifter, and other titles for Jim Lee’s Wildstorm Universe before returning to Marvel Comics to edit Captain America once again.

He’s worked with some of the biggest names in the field of comics and he’s remained in publishing bringing his talents to Scholastic and other interesting projects. He’s hardcore when it comes to comics and most things in general; some say he’s opinionated, but he just calls ’em like he sees ’em. We’re fired up to have him as our first guest as we enter our third year!
