Double Shot makes his comic book debut

Your favorite coffee loving superhero FINALLY makes his Comic Book debut in Tales from the Streets of Guangzhou #2.

Double Shot is officially in the books! Check out the latest issue from AIC Comics. The man known as The American is asked to put a stop to the triad’s reign over the neighborhood. In order for the American to stop the triad, he needs to find out information from the man who has the ear everywhere, Double Shot.

It all starts with a man who visits The American. He tells the American that his family is in trouble with the triad and if they don’t pay their money. From that point, the action begins!

The American is a bad ass vigilante who doesn’t take nonsense from anyone. He believes in what’s good but does things his way.

Michael Kelley is the writer of Tales from the Streets of Guangzhou #2. Read below to learn what he wrote about himself on comixcentral.com

“I grew up reading comics in the 80’s and 90’s – everything from Garfield and Peanuts in the Sunday paper to TMNT, Spider-Man, X-Men, and Superman. Seeing my favorite characters come to life on the small screen only deepened my love for them; you couldn’t pull me away from the TV on Saturdays until my morning cartoons were over. But it was Michael Keaton’s Batman that truly blew my mind and turned a love into an obsession. Over the years I dreamed of creating my own comics, but my lack of any artistic talent kept me from seeing that dream become a reality. But in April 2017 I finally made the decision to work with some amazing artists who are just as dedicated to my characters as I am.”

Mariah loves to explore the world

Learn about Mariah aka FitnessCube.

Mariah is a fitness model residing in Australia. She pushes her limits every day and is ready to take the world by storm.

I had the honor in interviewing Mariah. Read below to learn what motivated her into becoming a fitness model.

1) What is your name? Where were you born and raised?

My name is Mariah or @fitnesscube. I was born in Mexico and raised in West Africa (Nigeria)

2) What inspired you to become a fitness model and bikini competitor?

The incredible sculpted bodies (glutes!) of the bikini competitors at the Olympia. The desire to feel healthy and strong. I was also very determined to overcome stage fright and shyness – what better way to do so than to sign up for a show?

3) How did you get into the fitness model industry?

Watching a friend in high school who lived and breathed World of Warcraft transform his body in a matter of months using weight training got me and my best friend to the gym. It just snowballed from there.

4) How many days per week do you work out?

5-6 days a week. The 7th being an active rest day outside of the gym.

5) What are your favorite exercies to do?

Weighted pulls ups, outdoor rope climbing, deadlifts.

6) Do you have a favorite hobby?

I have an abundant amount of interests outside fitness. First one is exploring (the outdoors, books, poetry, plays,art) and creating (painting, cooking). I also love a good rock concert.

7) What is your favorite food?

Eye Fillet steak in Red Wine Jus with sweet potato wedges or a soft centered chocolate fondant. What more could you want in life?

8) Are you into comics? If so, what is your favorite superhero?

Love them. I grew up reading Tin Tin & Asterix and Obelix. Love collecting old ones, I have the first comic Donald Duck ever appeared in! Daredevil!

9) My Superhero Double Shot has the ability to create and manipulate coffee. If you were given the gift to have a super power, what would it be?

Teleportation! Time is invaluable, but I wouldn’t want to simply live indefinitely. Being able to get places faster would buy me more time and get me out of sticky situations without being a tooo crazy super power!

10) If you had to give all the young people out there some advice, what would you give?

The advice I would give is to spend time to really know yourself, and then use it to your advantage.

Jubilee has her own short film

For all the Jubilee fans out there, you no longer have to feel disappointed. All the X-Men films have let us down when it came to the woman who can create fireworks with her hands. Last year, I took matters into my own hands. When I sat down in front of my desk, I pulled out my notebook to write a script. At the end of my writing, I was satisfied with what I wrote. My short film entitled “Jubilee: Ostra” was born. Below is the synopsis of the film:

Jubilee and Double Shot have to stop the duo of Ostra and Belon from unleashing the Oyster of Energy. The Oyster of Energy has the ability to drain all the Selenium in the world. It is up to Jubilee and Double Shot to prevent that from happening.

Jubilee: Ostra stars Jane Wishashan, Harry Bailey, Leah Scully and Michael S. Benjamin. This film gave birth to the character of Double Shot … You’re welcome.

There is an AFTER CREDITS scene so don’t stop watching the film once the credits show up.

Jubilation “Jubilee” Lee is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, most commonly in association with the X-Men. Created by writer Chris Claremont and artist Marc Silvestri, the character first appeared in The Uncanny X-Men #244 (May 1989).

Jubilee is a member of the human subspecies known as mutants, born with superhuman abilities. She can generate pyrotechnic energy blasts from her hands. Introduced as an orphaned “mall rat” from Beverly Hills, Jubilee joined the X-Men in the early 1990s, becoming the team’s youngest member and often playing a sidekick role to her father-figure, Wolverine. (Wolverine is not in the film.)

The American meets Double Shot

Double Shot will make his long awaited comic book debut!

Everyone’s favorite coffee loving superhero will make his presence felt in AIC Comics’ Tales from the Streets of Guangzhou #2.

Guangzhou’s own foreign vigilante, The American, learns that crime Kingpin, Liu Mang is planning to take over the neighborhood. He goes out to find what’s happening. It doesn’t take long to find himself in the middle of trouble.

Double Shot has the ability to create and manipulate coffee. He is a highly resourceful individual. Because of this, The American confronts Double Shot to find answers. This adventure is not one you want to miss.

On the mean streets of Guangzhou – one of China’s largest cities – you can find The American. He finds trouble no matter where he roams. Follow his adventures as he fights crime lords, petty thieves, or anyone who happens to interrupt his drinking time.

Showrunner Up For a ‘Moon Knight’ Series

Moon Knight on Netflix?…Yes Please!

Daredevil Season One showrunner Steven DeKnight might not have put Moon Knight in the series but he is game for creating a Moon Knight series.

DeKnight, whose most recent work was serving as director on Pacific Rim Uprising, spoke to ComicBook.com in an exclusive interview. Like his conversations about a potential God of War movie, DeKnight’s mention of Moon Knight started with a Twitter conversation.

“That’s a weird story actually,” DeKnight said. “I never considered including Moon Knight in Daredevil. Somebody asked me on Twitter a while back if I would do Moon Knight and I’ve always been a huge Moon Knight fan and yeah, if I had the time in my schedule and the stars aligned, I’d love to do Moon Knight. I mean, I love the whole multiple personality. Is he crazy? Is he not crazy? Has he really gotten these mystical powers? Are they supernatural or is it all in his head? I think it would make for a very, very interesting Marvel universe kind of Netflix show. I also hope they’ll expand and give him a shot sometime.”

On the horizon for Netflix is a third season of Daredevil, and second seasons for Luke Cage and Iron Fist. While many Marvel fans are lobbying for a Moon Knight series, the character has not yet been tapped for a live-action adaptation.

Moon Knight goes one-on-one against Waterfall

Moon Knight encounters a new villain trying to take over New York City. Waterfall captured the Mind Crystal from a heavily guarded facility using water to manipulate the guards to do whatever she wants. The Mind Crystal has the ability to magnify the powers of an Inhuman. It’s up to Moon Knight, Frenchie and yes … Double Shot to stop her. You can watch the animation short on YouTube below:

Moon Knight is a skilled boxer, martial artist, acrobat, gymnast and pilot. He gains enhanced strength, endurance, and reflexes at night, reaching his pinnacle during a full moon, and sometimes has prophetic visions. In other words, this man can do it all!

DJ Paola Shea follows her own rhythm

In New York City’s male dominated DJ scene you will find a woman who is turning the nightlife upside down to navigate her rise to national acclaim. DJ Paola Shea has been featured on entertainment’s top networks and media outlets such as MTV, E Online, and Entertainment Weekly, as well OK and Maxim magazine. I decided to learn more about the talented DJ and asked her some hard hitting questions.

1) What is your full name and where were you born and raised?

Paola Shea. I was born in the Philippines and moved to Queens, New York at a young age then lived in Massachusetts for two years and then Connecticut.

2) What is your favorite hobby outside of music?

I love my dogs! Does being around them count as a hobby? haha. I also like watching movies and reading books. I’m always at a club DJing and meeting people so I enjoy the quiet stuff.

3)What is your favorite food?

Filipino and Italian

4) What made you get into the music industry? Who are some of your biggest influences?

Music has always been a part of my life since I was a young girl. My mom used to be a jazz dancer and my dad played the guitar. I was a dancer before becoming a DJ. One day my friend was mixing in his living room, and I asked him to teach me. I got obsessed right away and bought equipment at Guitar Center the next day. The rest is history. Some of my influences are Yoko Ono, DJ Qbert, Celine Dion, Cher and Tina Turner.

5) Who are some big names you worked with?

Bruno Mars, Fat Joe, Wiz Khalifa, Amber Rose, Ice T and many more.

6) Are you a comic fan? If so, do you have a favorite superhero?

Does Thor count? Because he’s super hot.

7) My Superhero Double Shot has the ability to create and manipulate coffee, what powers would you want as Superhero?

Oh my god that’s hilarious haha. I would want to be invisible, but I don’t think I would call it a superhero power because I want to be able to play tricks on people and steal money from banks (I am kidding) hope that last sentence doesn’t send me to jail haha.

8) If you had to give all the young people out there some advice, what would you give?

I would say to take care of yourself mentally and don’t worry about what people think of you. Social media gives a lot of people anxiety and not everything that you see online is real. Don’t ever compare your life with anyone else’ and try to appreciate everything that you have. Be kind to people. You don’t know what they are going through. And lastly, follow your dreams. I know that sounds cliche but if you believe in yourself, it will happen.

Spider-Man is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by writer-editor Stan Lee and writer-artist Steve Ditko, and first appeared in the anthology comic book Amazing Fantasy #15 (August 1962) in the Silver Age of Comic Books. The character is conceived as an orphan within the Marvel Universe named Peter Parker being raised by his Aunt May and Uncle Ben in New York City after his parents Richard and Mary Parker were killed in a plane crash.
