Dave Bautista has been standing up for James Gunn ever since Disney fired him from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Disney fired Gunn for some offensive tweets recently uncovered by hardcore right-wing Conservatives. In a new social media post, he calls out the studio once more, while also taking aim at Michael Cernovich, the man many people credit for getting Gunn fired.

In the video, Cernovich brags about his talents of writing hit pieces.

In the video that Dave Bautista shared, and tagged Disney in, Mike Cernovich and his wife can be seen bragging about taking public figures down. Cernovich boasts about shifting a narrative to get his point across. He alludes to the fact that he has no problem lying and making facts up to shift the public reputation of the person that he is attacking. Bautista had this to say about the video.

It’s unclear where all of the footage of Mike Cernovich admitting his tactics came from, but they were edited together out of context by a social media user who investigates Cernovich’s hit pieces. Regardless of your stance on James Gunn’s firing from Guardians of the Galaxy 3, Cernovich is perpetuating the divide of the United States through making up fake news.

Mike Cernovich is considered a hardcore right-wing Conservative. He is a huge Trump follower and argues with James Gunn on Twitter about his stance on Trump. It would not be a surprise if Mike got his other followers to drink the Kool-Aid or Hawaiian Punch and told them to bury Gunn.

Mike Cernovich has anti-women tweets all over his account but there are people who pretend to have a blind eye. The GOTG fans are thankful for Dave Bautista stepping to the plate for James Gunn.

Ever since Disney’s hit “Frozen” came to the big screen many moons ago, we asked for this.

Before I start talking about the fight, let’s talk about the competitors:

Elsa

Queen Elsa of Arendelle (also known as the Snow Queen) is the deuteragonist of Disney‘s 2013 animated feature film Frozen. She is the firstborn daughter of former monarchs King Agnarr and Queen Iduna, older sister of Princess Anna, and the contemporary ruler of Arendelle. Her powers over ice and snow ultimately led her to become the Snow Queen at adulthood.

Elsa possesses the magical ability to conjure and manipulate ice and snow. With her abilities, Elsa can manifest and shape various structures made of ice and snow, or cold phenomena from snow flurries to blizzards.

Most of her powers are unleashed via her hands and controlled by her emotions. If she is happy and at peace, she can control them better. When Elsa is angry, afraid or stressed, she will lose control and cause great harm to those around her. Near the end of Frozen, she has complete control over her powers.

In the movie, Elsa was able to turn the entire castle’s ballroom into a winter wonderland. She is capable of creating enchanted snowmen (both large and small), ice structures such as her ice palace, deadly blizzards, and more. She can move ice structures at will. It also appears that her control extends to almost all forms of winter weather, as she was able to create a snow cloud for Olaf, and manipulate wind streams to some degree.

Now let’s talk about the cold one from Mortal Kombat … Sub-Zero.

Kuai Liang (奎良 or 快涼), also known as Sub-Zero (絶対零度, “Absolute zero”)  formerly known as Tundra and the cyborg LK-52O, is a Lin Kuei assassin in the Mortal Kombat fighting game series. He is the younger brother of Bi-Han, who was the original Sub-Zero in the first Mortal Kombat game. The younger Sub-Zero made his debut in Mortal Kombat II.

Both descended from Cryomancers, an Outworld race possessing the ability to generate and control the powers of ice. However, they were born in Earthrealm and only the younger Sub-Zero would discover his heritage. Kuai Liang bears a scar on his right eye which he received between the events of MK3. However, as seen in Deception, the scar has faded away. This may have been caused by the Dragon Medallion‘s power.

Having descended from a race of Outworld inhabitants known as Cryomancers, Sub-Zero has the innate ability to control ice in many forms. Throughout the span of the series, Sub-Zero’s powers have continued to evolve. Aside from flash-freezing opponents, Sub-Zero also has the ability to instantly conjure up an ice statue of himself to act as both a scapegoat and a ‘landmine’ of sorts as any who touch it instantly flash freeze.

Since having taken possession of the Dragon Medallion, the scope of Sub-Zero’s powers and abilities has increased significantly. As a member of the Lin Kuei, Sub-Zero has attained a great degree of skill in many forms of hand-to-hand combat. The Dragon Medallion and his ancestral armor increased and amplified his martial arts and ice-related abilities, as shown in his Deception Arcade ending. Throughout the Mortal Kombat series, Sub-Zero’s abilities have grown more powerful; he can even transform his body into a liquefied state, solid state or transform his body into solid ice at will.

The Fight.

It takes place in a Taiga (or a snow forest) Let’s say a netrual place … Canada.

There can be no shots to the face (Yeah Sub-Zero, I’m looking at you!) and since Sub-Zero is a highly skilled assassin, he is not allowed to use any outside weapons.

Let the fight begin!

Sub-Zero is slowly walking around the forest until he hears a noise. He looks up a tree to see only a white squirrel (Yes, a white squirrel … this is my story).

He creates an ice dagger to throw at the white squirrel to scare it away. This allows Elsa to attack from behind with a huge snowball to the back of Sub-Zero. Sub-Zero turns around only to see that no one is there. Sub-Zero creates four ice walls around him in an attempt to tease Elsa. This is his way to see how strong Elsa can be. Is she able to tear down the four walls?

Elsa creates a snow monster to tear down the walls. She stands off to the side to watch Sub-Zero take on the snow monster. Sub-Zero slides underneath the snow monster hitting him with an ice beam in the process. The ice beam freezes the snow monster.

Sub-zero creates an ice sledgehammer then hits the snow monster to shatter him in pieces. Elsa is not pleased. She jumps in mid air to throw snow blades at Sub-Zero. He blocks the snow blades by creating an ice shield then kicks through the ice shield to take Elsa by surprise. He tackles Elsa to the ground only to let her up. Sub-Zero looks at her then gives the “continue” symbol with his hand.

With all her heart, Elsa creates a strong blizzard to blow Sub-Zero away. Sub-Zero is one step ahead as he creates an ice version of himself to take his place. He jumps into the trees to escape. Elsa has no idea where he is. Elsa slowly looks around to find where he is but right when she spots him … it’s too late.

Sub-Zero stabs Elsa in the heart with an ice dagger then he LET IT GO! (You get what I did there)

Way back in the stone age of 1992, the Japanese Super Sentai series (which is basically a show filled with a bunch of superhero teams) decided to release the Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger series. One year later, FOX adapted the Zyuranger series into the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (MMPR) and the show aired new episodes from 1993 to 1996.

In 1995, the beloved Mighty Morphin Power Rangers:The Movie premiered. In 1996, Mighy Morphin Alien Rangers and Power Rangers Zeo aired.Although FOX stopped making new episodes in 1996, they still broadcasted the show until 2001, which allowed kids who grew up with show re-watch their favorite episodes and it allowed kids of the new generation to experience the Power Rangers in action for the very first time. In 1997 Power Rangers Turbo aired aand in 1997 Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie was released, but we never talk about it. Ever.

In 1998, Power Rangers In Space was a thing. Personally, my favorite episode that spawned out of that series was the “Shell Shocked” episode which was a crossover episode with the “heroes in a half shell” from the Ninja Turtle: The Next Mutation series. Combining the world’s favorite human teenage heroes and the world’s favorite turtle teenage heroes in one episode was pure genius.

Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue came out in 2000 and Power Rangers Time Force came out in 2001. The Walt Disney Company also purchased the franchise from Saban Entertainment in 2001 and continued the series with Power Rangers Wild Force in 2002, Ninja Storm in 2003, Dino Thunder in 2004, S.P.D. in 2005, Mystic Force in 2006, Operation Overdrive in 2007, Jungle Fury in 2008, and RPM in 2009. Disney went through a few studio and channel changes but continued to air the show until 2009, but did not air every single episode due to the lack of education in select episodes. Power Rangers RPM was declared as the last Power Rangers series, but that didn’t last long because the fans wanted their heroes back, so Disney decided to re-air the (MMPR) series in January 2010.

In May 2010, Haim Saban bought the franchise back from Disney and Saban’s Power Rangers Samurai began airing on Nickelodeon in 2011 and Super Samurai in 2012. In addition to the 2012 streak, The CW aired Power Rangers Lost Galaxy. In 2013 for the franchise’s 20th anniversary, Nickelodeon aired Power Rangers Megaforce, which featured Rangers from the past series’. Also in 2013, the MMPR series aired during The 90’s Are All That’s Mighty Morphin Weekend. What good would a Mighty Morphin Weekend be without the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers? Then the Super Megaforce came out in 2014. Nickelodeon also aired Power Rangers Dino Charge in 2015 and then in 2016 Dino Super Charge was released. Just like Pokémon, every generation of kids got a new Power Rangers series. So what’s in store for 2017? Well I suppose they’re a bit overdue for a new movie…

BAM. 20  years after their flop with the unmentioned second movie, a third movie rises up out of the ashes. Our “mighty morphin” heroes are finally back in theaters. The new movie is obviously poking at our childhood, and hopefully if they do a decent job the “inner nostalgia bear”-critic in me won’t have to complain about it. The new film is directed by Dean Israelite who also directed Project Almanac. The film is basically a reboot and will share a lot of the same features and elements that the fans have grown to love. Basically Zordon, who is a wise galactic sage, chose five high school kids who live in Angel Grove must join together as the Power Rangers. Zack, Kimberly, Billy, Trini, and Jason must defeat the alien threat led by Rita Repulsa, who is an evil humanoid alien witch that seeks out for galactic domination. Wow those names sure do look familiar, don’t they? Well, the names are literally straight from the MMPR series.

In the original series, David Fielding played Zordon of Eltar, Soga Machiko played Rita Repulsa, Austin St. John played Jason Lee Scott, Amy Jo Johnson played Kimberly Ann Hart, David Yost played Billy Cranston, Thuy Trang played Trini Kwan, and Walter Jones played Zack Taylor.

In the new movie, the actors and actresses of the respective roles will be played by Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Banks, Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, RJ Cyler, Becky G, and Ludi Lin. So far, so good Israelite. OH! Also a new Power Rangers series called Ninja Steel is coming soon, so be on the lookout for that as well.

Born in Passaic, New Jersey, she grew up in Jackson Heights, Queens, New York. A tragedy had the family move to the Dominican Republic where her father was from. She soon found herself back in New York where in 1995 she performed in a theater group in Brooklyn.  She later moved on to roles on television and then on to the big screen. She is married to Italian artist Marco Perego, who adopted her surname when they married, breaking the wedding tradition of just the wife taking the surname of the husband. Her name is Zoe Saldana-Perego. His name is Marco Perego-Saldana. Together they have twin sons.

This 38th birthday is bittersweet for her.  It is Father’s Day in the Unites States, a day she cannot celebrate with her father because her dad died in a car crash when she was 9. A memory cruelly relived today and darkened by another tragedy because her Star Trek co-star Anton Yelchin had a freak accident with his car on his property yesterday on June 18. He was pronounced dead today at the age of 27. The talented young Mr. Yelchin portrayed Pavel Chekov in the new series of Star Trek films.

Saldana and Yelchin can be seen together in the latest installment of Star Trek, Star Trek Beyond when it premieres next month on July 22, 2016.

Incidentally Zoe’s name in the Greek language means Life. May she live long, and prosper.

Agent Carter ran for two seasons but has not been renewed for a third. The series followed the secret exploits of Peggy Carter, Captain America’s love interest from the first film starring Chris Evans.  Actress Hayley Atwell, reprised her role from the film, working along with other agents to keep America safe during the infancy of SHIELD.

Also not being picked up is Marvel’s Most Wanted. Starring Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood as the lead characters,  Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter respectively, Marvel’s Most Wanted was a promising series. The premise of the show entailed the two stars  being on the run from numerous bounty hunters. Delroy Lindo  was set to play Howard Chaykin’s  character Dominic Fortune, the world adventurer, in this series as well. It is the second time Marvel’s Most Wanted was passed by ABC which, like Marvel Comics, is owned by parent company Disney. Adrianne Palicki was set to star as Wonder Woman a few years ago. NBC decided not to pick up the pilot although it was filmed.

NBC cancelled the highly anticipated Constantine who has been resurrected on the CW Network on Arrow and may be picked up as a series again on CW according to some sources. Reruns of Constantine can be seen on the El-Rey network. CBS has decided not to renew its contract with Supergirl, who is now flying over to the CW. You can look forward to several crossovers on that network now that Supergirl will be the fourth series on the CW starring DC characters.

Robert Cargill (Sinister), Doctor Strange tells the story of Stephen Strange (Cumberbatch), an acclaimed, yet exceedingly arrogant, neurosurgeon who uncovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions after a near-fatal car accident, showing audiences yet undiscovered corners of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
