Cyborg joins Batman The Ride, Bizarro, Green Lantern, Harley Quinn Crazy Train, Superman: Ultimate Flight, The Joker, The Dark Knight Coaster, and 4D experience Justice League: Battle for Metropolis as the latest DC Comics-inspired attraction at the New Jersey theme park.

Six Flags Great Adventure next adds Wonder Woman: Lasso of Truth — the world’s tallest pendulum ride — to its Metropolis area spring 2019.

Warner Bros. releases Aquaman in December, with new solos for Wonder Woman, Flash, and Batman now in the works — Fisher remains hopeful the studio will see the value in a Cyborg-led movie despite a likely costly price tag.

“I don’t know. I can’t comment on that specifically, because they don’t tell me anything until the very last minute,” Fisher said when asked about a Cyborg movie during New Jersey’s Heroes & Villains FanFest.

Despite no apparent movement on Cyborg, Fisher quelled recent rumors when he took to social media to shut down talks he was exiting the role. In other words, It is not yet known when Fisher next reprises his role of Victor Stone.

Cyborg is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by writer Marv Wolfman and artist George Pérez. Cyborg first appears in a special insert in DC Comics Presents #26.

According to a new tweet from The Wrap’s Umberto Gonzalez, the upcoming Joker origin movie will reportedly begin production in two weeks. This would place the start date for sometime around September 10th. The wait for production is finally over.

The film is set to be a low-budget film outside of the main DC Extended Universe continuity. The 80s-set, potentially R-rated film will see the Joker (Joaquin Phoenix) begin as a stand-up comedian, who turns to a life of crime and madness after a particularly bad performance.

“I wouldn’t quite classify this as like any genre,” Phoenix said in a recent interview. “I wouldn’t say it’s a superhero movie, or a studio movie or a … It feels unique, and I think more then anything, and probably the most important thing, is Todd seems very passionate about it and very giving, and so that’s exciting. I think, underneath the excitement of these films, and the size of them, there are these incredible characters that are dealing with real life struggles.”

Phoenix continues to say, “And sometimes that is uncovered and exposed, and sometimes it isn’t, and so I always felt, like, there were characters in comics that were really interesting and deserve the opportunity to be kind of studied. And so I think that’s what Todd sees appealing about this idea.”

Joker is being directed by The Hangover and Due Date‘s Todd Phillips and executive produced by Martin Scorsese. In addition to Phoenix, the film will star Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, Frances Conroy, and Marc Maron. And as it turns out, Phoenix has had that sort of idea kicking around in his head for quite some time.

“Three or four years ago, I called my agent and said ‘Why don’t they want to take one of these characters and just make a lower budget film about it, a movie but a character study, and why not take one of the villains?’” Phoenix revealed in a recent interview. “And I thought, ‘You can’t do the Joker, because, you know, it’s just you can’t do that character, it’s just been done.’ So I was trying to think of other characters, and he said ‘I’ll set up a general meeting with Warner Bros.’ And I said ‘I’m not gonna go, I can’t go to a general meeting.’

So I completely forgot about it, and so then I heard about this idea, I was like, ‘Oh that’s so exciting, that’s the kind of experience I wanted to have, with a movie based on a comic character.’ I felt like you could get something on screen.”

Joker is expected to debut in theaters on October 4, 2019.

Black Manta will make his DCEU debut as the hunter who is hired to track down Aquaman.

We will finally see the infamouts Black Manta wetsuit with a bug-eyed helmet, that is able to shoot rays from its eyes. Below is a photo of Black Manta:

Black Manta has some degree of enhanced strength and endurance. The serum that changed his brain from an autistic one into a more typical one, but left him extremely violent and vicious.

Black Manta’s armor further enhances these physical attributes. It allows him to lift cars and throw them with ease. In addition, his armor is bulletproofed and is vulnerable only to very powerful explosives.

ComicBook.com visited Aquaman‘s Australian set in July of 2017, getting a look at Black Manta’s fully spot-on comic-accurate costume but also hearing about how he factors into the next DC Comics movie.

Played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, the character will likely emerge as a fan-favorite, as his feud with Jason Momoa’s Arthur Curry just started.

“We meet Black Manta at a time where, it’s just him and his dad, and he’s riding on high, you know,” Abdul-Mateen II said. “He’s just come off of his wind, and there’s a changing of the guards, so to speak. And then, this guy, Aquaman, comes in, and crashes the party.” The relationship, like much of the Aquaman movie, will follow its DC Comics roots.

If Abdul-Mateen II were to use one word to describe his character, “Relentless” is the only one to cover it. “He’s so relentless,” Abdul-Mateen II said. “And so, in a fight, he’s never down, and he’s never out. And you think that he’s done, but he comes back. Also it’s like, ‘Hey, I finished you! I proved my point! I’m stronger than you. Stop it! Why are you still here?’ You know?”

While Abdul-Mateen II can’t give all of the details of Black Manta’s first appearance, he promises it is “pretty dope” as his character crashes into the Italian set built in the same location which was once Thor: Ragnarok‘s Asgard.

It will likely be one of the eighteen action sequences packed into James Wan‘s “swashbuckling” adventure.

“He doesn’t want to take over the world, he doesn’t have this grand scheme of, like, monopolizing something for his own personal benefit,” Abdul-Mateen II said. “He’s very much on the line. And so, he has this very strong moral code that he will not compromise, and that he will not negotiate on.”

A ruthless treasure hunter and mercenary, the man known as Black Manta spent his days scavenging the unexplored depths of the ocean, discovering long lost relics and powerful mythical items, all while taking on various jobs to fund his passion.

Until one particular job changed his life.

Hired to bring back a sample of Arthur Curry’s blood, Black Manta encountered the young Aquaman and his father while the two were out at sea. In the ensuing struggle, Aquaman’s father suffered a heart attack that ultimately led to his death.

The creator and producer put the kibosh on Booster Gold occupying the DC Extended Universe along with Arrow, The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl during an interview with Vulture. Previously, Berlanti was confirmed in having a hand in a live-action Booster Gold film by way of Warner Bros.  However, the BG film would be a standalone film, having no connection to the DCEU.

Zack Stentz, co-writer of X-Men: First Class, Thor, Power Rangers, and The Flash episodes ‘Monster’ and ‘The Runaway Dinosaur’,  created the script for the feature film, hinted at being a ‘buddy cop superhero movie’ starring Booster Gold and Blue Beetle, whose friendship in DC Comics lore has gone down as core material in their respective canons.

Created in 1986 by Dan Jurgens and featured in his own series, Booster Gold’s real name is Michael Jon Carter, a failed football player from 25th Century Gotham City. After Carter travels back in time to the present day DC Universe, he makes use of his futuristic technology to become a hero, at first eschewing traditional heroic notions of justice and nobility and instead signing endorsement deals and shamelessly self-promoting.
