Alongside WW, her mother, Queen Hippolyta (Connie Nielsen), and her two aunts General Antiope (Robin Wright) and Antiope’s lieutenant, Menalippe (Lisa Loven Kongsli).

“Themyscira is influenced by the Greek but it’s clearly more then that,” producer Charles Roven told EW, “It’s a place that has the ‘you’ve never been to’ kind of feel. But once you’re there you’re not so sure you really want to leave so fast.” ​

Director Patty Jenkins had this to say about the amazonian’s armor;

“To me, they shouldn’t be dressed in armor like men. It should be different. It should be authentic and real—and appealing to women.”

With Gal Gadot returning from Batman v Superman as our titular heroine, Wonder Woman also stars Chris Pine (Star Trek Into DarknessRobin Wright (Netflix’s House of Cards”), Danny Huston (Clash of the Titans), Ewen Bremner (Snowpiercer), David Thewlis (The Theory of Everything), Saïd Taghmaoui (American Hustle), Connie Nielsen (Gladiator) Elena Anaya (The Skin I Live In) and Lucy Davis (Shaun of the Dead).

Produced by Charles Roven, Zack and Deborah Snyder, and is executive produced by Richard Suckle, Geoff Johns, Wesley Coller, Stephen Jones, and Rebecca Roven.

Working with Jenkins (Monster) as director of photography is Matthew Jensen (Game of Thrones), Oscar-winning editor Martin Walsh (Chicago, V for Vendetta), Oscar-nominated production designer Aline Bonetto (Amélie, Pan) and Oscar-winning costume designer Lindy Hemming (The Dark Knight trilogy).

Based on characters created by William Moulton Marston and appearing in comic books published by DC Entertainment, Wonder Woman is set for a next summer release of June 23, 2017. It will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.

“The idea that we could begin to boot up a Justice League concept was a cool thing,” director Zack Snyder says on the upcoming film. “It was a little bit of an ‘about time’ moment, and I don’t blame [the studio] for feeling that way, because it’s a long time coming, but I do feel like it’s a little bit of a creative hurdle. It seems like an easy thing to do at first glance, the idea that, ‘Oh, we just get the rest of the superheroes in there.’ But you have to [establish] a world where they can exist.”

Long awaited and highly anticipated, Justice League will see the formation of DC’s greatest heroes. Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot will return as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Clark Kent/Superman and Wonder Woman respectively. Joining them to form the League will be Ray Fisher, Jason Mamoa and Ezra Miller as Cyborg, Aquaman and The Flash.

Filming for Justice League is said to take place in London. Justice League Part One is slated for theatrical release on November 17, 2017, with Justice League Part Two scheduled for June 14, 2019.

Earlier word from the Alberta Film Rating website hinted of a final trailer for the upcoming superhero film. Now it’s official, the final trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is here! The trailer can be viewed in the player below.

Fearing the actions of Superman are left unchecked, Batman takes on Superman, while the world wrestles with what kind of a hero it really needs. With Batman and Superman fighting each other, a new threat, Doomsday, is created by Lex Luthor. It’s up to Superman and Batman to set aside their differences along with Wonder Woman to stop Lex Luthor and Doomsday from destroying Metropolis.

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice will see the return of Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, and introduce Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Also starring; Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman,  and returning from Man of Steel as Lois Lane, Perry White and Martha Kent will be Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane respectively. Jeremy Irons also joins the cast as Alfred Pennyworth, fan-favorite butler and confidant to Bruce Wayne, the Walking Dead’s Jeffery Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan as Thomas and Martha Wayne, with Holly Hunter in an original role created especially for the film and Jason Momoa will also make an appearance as Aquaman.

Batman and Superman will clash on silver screens worldwide on March 25, 2016, thus kicking off what promises to be a gluttonous slew of DC Comics related films.

The Walking Dead star has joined the cast of the long-awaited superhero throw-down. This bit of news — though not officially confirmed by the folks over at Warner Bros. Pictures — IMDB has Cohan listed in ‘Cast & Crew’ as playing Martha Wayne, late mother of Bruce Wayne. If this cast addition proves true, Cohan is — no doubt — fated to fall next to Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Watchmen, Supernatural), who is playing Bruce’s late father, Thomas Wayne, in the obligatory flashback scene of that fateful night for the Wayne family in ‘Crime Alley’.

Funny enough, Dean Morgan is also slated to appear again with Cohan in the coming season of The Walking Dead as the character Negan.
