According to the report, Konechny will play Agent Jensen, a DEO agent recruited by Alex (Chyler Leigh) who struggles to find his footing at the DEO. His character will be introduced in the season premiere on Sunday, October 14.

Given that bio, it would not be hard to imagine him turning against the DEO, especially since Agent Liberty as the leader of a human supremacy group sounds like the setup for a season-long spy-vs-spy between his group and the DEO itself. That would track with a “more topical” season four, as has been teased in interviews.

That said, the notion of an agent grappling with his identity and a charismatic hate-monger leading an opposing group does not necessarily mean Jensen will end up on the side of the bad guys. Thematically, it might make more sense to redeem him, as they did last season with Reign.

“The writers’ room is being really great this year,” Benoist said during a recent interview. “Last season, it was a lot of fire and brimstone and a lot of homages to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which was great because I was such a big fan of that show.

This season they really want to thematically tackle more topical stories that maybe mirror what’s going on with the state of the world and our country. There’s a lot of anti-alien sentiment at the beginning of Season 4 that Supergirl is going to have to grapple with. I think their main premise is that fear itself is a villain, and can hope conquer it? Supergirl stands for hope, so we’ll see. I think fear is her biggest opponent yet because it’s more of a wildfire-type emotion.”

Season 3 witnessed Supergirl battling conflict from within. This time fear will be her biggest foe. All of us can relate to dealing with fear and that is going to make Season 4 interesting to watch.

The fourth season of Supergirl will debut on Sunday, October 14th, at 8/7c on The CW.

Schwartz recently tweeted out the newest script title page for the season, which shows production information surrounding the fourth episode. Unlike previous reveals, the title for this one is mysteriously blacked out, with Schwartz hinting that the title could be alluding to a big reveal.

Fans will certainly be speculating about what this title could be, and how exactly it would factor into the upcoming season. The first three titles thus far – “Inmate 4587”, “The Longbow Hunters”, and “Crossing Lines” – have been fairly straightforward in comparison.

The season will begin with Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) spending his time in a Supermax prison, after he unmasked himself as the Green Arrow and surrendered to the authorities. That decision will apparently lead to new threats both inside and outside Oliver’s cell, as Ricardo Diaz (Kirk Acevedo) and his Longbow Hunters attempt to take over Star City even more.

With all of that in mind, it sounds like things could get somewhat controversial in Arrow’s seventh season — something that Amell and company are excited about.

“Obviously, you want to lean into things that you think fans would want, right?” Amell suggested in a previous interview. “Concurrently, I’m all for things that make fans mad, because mad is no different than happy. The only thing that I don’t want is indifference. I always joke with fans about my alter-ego, Evil Story Steve. If you were to tell me, you know, that four people died in the season premiere of Arrow in season seven, I’d be very sad … but my alter-ego, Evil Story Steve, would be like, ‘Oh – that’s very exciting; why’d that happen?’”

Personally I wouldn’t mind seeing a few chracters get killed off to make room for new characters to be introduced to the Arrowverse.

In a recent report from TVLine, it was revealed that Legends plans to establish a former relationship of Constantine, which presumably took place between the events of NBC’s Constantine and the character’s Arrowverse debut.  The relationship will reportedly be with a man, and have some sort of tragic undertones that still haunt Constantine to this day.

John Constantine is awesome!

For fans who have been following Ryan’s portrayal of the DC Comics demonologist – and who have been hoping to see the character’s bisexuality accurately represented onscreen – this will surely be some good news. And of course, some will surely speculate about which character could be Constantine’s former lover, and if it’s someone that television audiences have already met.

This is just the latest example of why Constantine fans will be hyped for Legends’ latest season. Legends of Tomorrow did a great job with his character and now it’s time to explore his character further more.

“I had not really realized the fervor of [Constantine’s] fandom,” showrunner Klemmer told ComicBook.com earlier this year. “I sort of accidentally discovered it. Honestly, we put him on the show just because we wanted him on the show. There’s no cynical calculation of trying to accumulate somebody else’s fans. I think we have fun with our characters. Having Tala Ashe on the show…she’s cool. If I just needed an adjective to describe her, she is a cool lady. I feel the same way about Constantine and Matt. We wanted just a counterpoint to our Legends….Personally, I can’t imagine Constantine having quarters on the Waverider.
I want to keep him Constantine. I don’t want to ever have a scene of him having to do his laundry because to me, guys like Constantine, they always have clean clothes. Who knows where they come from? I don’t want to see that scene.”

“There’s always other elements of the character, and it’s great, but we can bring those to the fore in this show.” Ryan said in a recent convention appearance. “That’s one thing I love about John is, he has so much going on and there’s so much more to explore that keeps you interested. Because there are all these weird story lines that are being written over the years, that people always draw on them.”

The Thinker is gone! What Next?!

We witness the death of Clifford DeVoe/The Thinker (Neil Sandilands) to the return of Ralph Dibny/Elongated Man (Hartley Sawyer). For Caitlin, a pretty interesting secret came to light, as she learned that she had gotten her metahuman powers long before the particle accelerator explosion, something that could change the nature of the Arrowverse as we know it.

Now we have Nora Allen (Jessica Parker Kennedy), Barry and Iris’ speedster daughter from the future.

“We always like to introduce characters and sort of highlight areas that come from the comics but we don’t want to be beholden exactly to them so we can change the stories as we see fit and tell it for a television show.” executive producer Todd Helbing told ComicBook.com after the Season 4 finale. “With [Nora], it’s the time that she comes from and what she did.

She makes this sort of big mistake at the end of the episode. Everyone is concerned of what she did. We all remember Flashpoint. Barry learned his lessons from time traveling. It’s going to be interesting to see Barry Allen help his daughter on this one.
